Training & Experience

Gary Kahn trained under composer and master piano technician Leon Levitch. By 1984, he was tuning and servicing at The Little Piano Shop in the San Fernando Valley under the critical eye (and helpful tips) of Fred Odenheimer. Gary moved to Canyon Country in 1987 and Acton in 1999, where he currently lives with his wife and two daughters. He is a full member of the Piano Technicians Guild and is a Registered Piano Technician (RPT). Only RPT's have been tested and certified by the PTG. Under the sponsorship of Keyboard Concepts in Van Nuys, he attended Yamaha's North American training center, The Little Red Schoolhouse, a rigorous program for Yamaha specialists. He is also trained by Yamaha to service Disklaviers.

Gary services all brands. Piano service may include tuning, regulation, voicing, and repair.
